Interesting animals. At the risk of sounding cruel, it almost looks as though they’re wearing masks.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. Agreed. I'm guessing they named them wood storks because their skin around their head and neck that resembles a thick layer of tree bark, which also gives that "mask" appearance.
