I like the composition but not the processing. It doesn't look like an analog shot. It looks like a digital shot that had some digital scratches and blotches gratuitously added to it.

Thanks for the complement regarding the composition. You are correct I did add the digital scratches & blotches; I was attempting to make it different (original), after all this building has been photograph for the last 100+ years...

Thanks,

I Like the shot and the little room that allows the building to breath up top... what I kind of don't find it working for me is the way the people look (they all look stretched upwards, probably due to the lens and you pushing it too its limits)... I would try to flatten the shot a bit more, giving it a more natural look to the people, this will also straighten the buildings surrounding the main one.

How would I do that...can you please advise?

Thanks,

In Lightroom under lens corrections you can compensate such things like barrel distortion and vignette... play around with the grid and see if that does the trick... I know for example on a Nikon 16-35mm F4 you often get similar distortions due to the wide angle...

Hi N1kon1k,

I played around in LR under "lens correction" and I also tried under "transform - aspect," it marginally improves the people not much. However, I can see where these tools can be beneficial on other captures/pictures thanks for pointing them out.

Cheers,
