@Gary A. As a wildlife lover, I have to say your haiku touches a nerve with me. A few years ago, we went to the Philly Zoo and my most favorite time spent was in the primate exhibit. There was a female gorilla there that sat in the corner with her back to the human visitors. Attributing human expressions and emotions to her, it looked as if she was very sad and did not wish to interact with the spectators. When I attempted to maneuver myself to get a photo of her, the male ran by me and rapped the glass very forcefully twice as if to say " Leave her alone in her time of distress." I was struck by not only my interpretations, but by the actions of these incredible animals.
