Ohh nice! I love my 410 for everything (except casual/action because its slooow). Great for macro work and I'm sure that you'll love it for positioning the macro gear! It's a joy to work with when you want fine control and you've the time to set things up

Tried, no. But I've sure thought about it! Actually, I've got a screw and clip from an RC-2 that I replaced with a Black Rapid screw. I may give it a try and see if it will work.

Tried, no. But I've sure thought about it! Actually, I've got a screw and clip from an RC-2 that I replaced with a Black Rapid screw. I may give it a try and see if it will work.

I've already tried an RC-2 screw. It won't work. It's too wide, and the outside corners will hit before you tighten the screw all the way it, plus it's not thin enough to lay into the groove so the place will not go all the way down onto the head.
