Very nice. My only nit would be that I would have liked to see a bit more of the "water trail" on the right. I don't know if a different crop would do it, assuming this has been cropped a bit.

I am also curious about what you are shooting with. Care to share?

This was shot with a Nikon D810 and an 80-400 Nikkor w/1.4 Tele-Extender @ f/8, ISO 800, I/500. if you know these birds, they are very skittish and when they move, they move fast and furious literally running across the water until they can generate enough speed and lift to clear the water. I had to crop the right side to leave out an OOF female Merganser.

Thanks for the "techie" stuff. As for the crop. I understand - sometimes there are some things that cannot be avoided. Always nice to know how an image was cropped and why.
