the lonesome leaf C&C welcome

Here is a photo I took a few weeks back. I took several, and chose this one because of the sharp focus on the leaf. In this photo I wanted to express the feeling of solitude in a confident sense. What I mean, is this leaf to me seemed strong, and bold. It survived/lasted on the tree and the others didn't. So I wanted to portray the leaf so you could still see the tree (branches in the background) but the leaf being all alone.

I like the idea, but I think the background is killing it. I think the background is way too busy. If you could get closer and eliminate the cluttered background, I think it would look 100% better.

i love the shot and the idea. and i really like the background. i feel it really adds to the shot. if it was just a shot of the leaf and a little bit of the branch it was on it would be a little boring imo. great work!
