Found this old cottonwood while out walking today. It was a solid 5 feet across at the base and the biggest in the area. I couldn't help but try to comprehend everything this tree has seen in its lifetime.

Only female cottonwood grows so mighty ? There is no reference point to comprehend the size but I believe you.
