It caught me by surprise, too. I first thought, where are all it's wing feathers but as it turns out, anhinga's usually lose all their feathers at once and can't fly for a couple months. It was early morning and my lens was still fogged up so it's not the best shot but no matter, this dude wasn't going to win any contests, regardless.
