Hi everyone,
Was just combining some exposures to make some HDR photos and just made this, which I quite like. What do you think?

Massive artifacting along the horizon lines. The sky isn't very compelling, although of course we are stuck with what's there in these modern times when we're mostly just passing through.

A reasonably pleasant vista, nice clouds coming in from the left, I think you shot well given the circumstances and location. I see no compelling reason this should be HDR, however?

Maybe HDR wasnt the best option. But it definitely improved the dynamic range.

I am not digital guy, but trying to learn. Have the same question.
Picture itself is, I think, much too dark, too heavy. Looks like shot at night (is it ?).

I think most times that HDR is not so much a requirement as it is a choice. My personal opinion is that there are more people looking for reasons to use HDR than there are situations that require it, or even benefit from it.
I do like the effect with certain subject matter - and I'm talking about the slightly over-cooked stuff now - but that would be an artistic decision rather than a situational requirement.

As for the photo in question, it looks like there was an overuse of noise reduction that made everything look muddy and a bit unnatural and plastic.
Certainly worth going back again. Clouds would have helped as mentioned.
