The Old Kirk on Sandy, Orkey Islands, Scotland. I originally took this to be and HDR but that wasn't working so I did a b&w converson though I'm not sure I've got the best out of this. Bit annoyed I blew out the moon as well, I should've tought at the time and took one to expose just for that

If you've got any C&C it would be welcome.

Looks like a cool place. I would try to bump the clarity for your sky. Heck, maybe even bump it for the whole photo, it would give it a cool look.

The composition I think could have been a lot better. Although, there is nothing wrong with it, the scene is cool, I believe it could have been cooler. :)

Moon pics are easy, just go one a stock photo site and buy a photo and pop it in. Not that most people do that or anything...

Thanks guys. I'm definatley a bit meh about this photo.I agree with golfcart as well, it could have been cooler but I'm not sure how.

I actually do have a couple of moon pics that I took afterward that are properly exposed, any tips on how to blend it in with Photoshop?

I'm not seeing the moon as an issue in this shot. I think it's fine. It echoes the window slightly, adds some balance to the left side of the sky, and most importantly--gives the viewer a subtle exit. Every image has an entry and an exit and both are important. The entry here is the stones in the foreground. From there, my eye goes right, and into the ellipsis formed between the stones and the roofless structure. I like the limited color palette here. It works for me. This isn't an image you want to go overboard on in post-processing, otherwise it'll end up too cheesy goth. The only suggestion I would make is more images in the same vein. This would work better alongside a few others.

I agree with golf cart, great scene but could be better composed. I think if you went wider angle and got closer to the tomb stones you could create more depth in the photo. I also like the moon like it is, we can tell what it is and avoids the well defined moon over clouds look that makes me cringe.
