Another note on these; at least one of the ones that I picked up uses a plastic stud. Be careful not to overtighten those, as they *will* break off. Looks like a couple of them are actually the metal construction, though.

if this is as sturdy as he says it is( it may not be but still) low level macro would be a good use of it.

Heh, seems pretty good. I was thinking of buying a similar one that costs £7.50 (jeez, 50p? 'Coz of the credit crunch, I'd be lucky to get a Mars bar for 50p now!), but for stop-motion movies and a bit of limited flash use (damn cables).
