The only way you can tell the difference

between a male and female Mallard this time of the year is by the beak color. The females have greenish colored beaks, like this one, the males are bright yellow. Minolta Maxuum/Dynax/a-9, Lomo400, Sigma 70-300 DL Super Macro.
