Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello everyone, and apologies for the long absence - I have been extremely busy these last months, both with the usual stuff and especially with the preparations for a new step in my photographic journey: going back to analog, and in particular to 4x5" black & white photography. I have been working exclusively with this setup for the last month during our fall Workshop season, and I am loving it! But, results will start to be ready next year when I'll be back home and will be able to develop, scan and process the film.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share my latest developed Portfolio, shot last year with my Phase One IQ4 Achromatic and Alpa 12 STC and dedicated to the Pacific Northwest of the USA! The Portfolio is over 60 photographs strong, here's a few photographs for you:

Comments are as always very welcome. Enjoy! Best regards,

A pricey camera :p I could build myself a home and live on it for the total cost of your kit (acreage living).

I have been warned not to make casual talk less it be misinterpreted.

So.

First to pad your ego. Please don't think I am. I really like these images. Seriously good. And even though they're a bit low on the resolution side I still can clearly make out the shapes and the shadows. Very nice.

I imagine the prints must be incredible and detailed with the right printer. What printer do you use?

I wonder what a untouched raw file would look like. Can you share one? Or would phase one take legal action against you? I use modsfire to host .PSD files up to 4gb. And their download speeds are uncapped (requiring no membership).

Edit: I went through your portfolio's. And I found them better then most amateurs. But the subject matter I've seen from other photographers on these forums over the years since 2009. With my other account Ocular.

I think you should visit:

Mount Edziza Park. I haven't seen a whole lot of photographers on safari take images here. But seeing as you can afford the bush plane ride out there.

Have you taken images near Mount Denali? Like from the pacific towards the mount.

I am sorry, nothing personal but I just don't find myself inclined to answer to your ramblings. Best regards,

The oxford dictionary definition of rambilings is: lengthy and confused or inconsequential.

Ok either you want a cut and paste of invigorating praise. Am I warm? Or cold.

Frankly speaking with no hint of offense. And I mean it.

Next response is completely truthful and no BS.

I don't see you taking any risks. Not physical risks but with your camera. Your images are very safe. I've seen hundreds, no thousands of images just like yours and some of the same locations as yours.

Is that statement incoherent to you?

I know a lot of photographers both in the U.K (united kingdom) and Hong Kong(China). And they really like the long exposures of the beach and rocks.

None of what I've said is argumentized or insulting.

What do these rewards represent on your website? Quite frankly I've never heard of them before.

I'm not sure why I'm your acting superior to me. No doubt a scathing response or from some ghost account comes next.
As I said, I have no interest nor any inclination in answering your comments. Please respect that. Best regards,

Vieri

Bravo sir. you have taken two of my least favorite genres of photography (black&white and landscape) and produced such spectacular images that I was compelled to check out the rest of your portfolio. First class work indeed.

More really good images Vieri ...

Hello Jeff, thank you very much indeed, happy you liked them! :)

Thank you very much, that is truly appreciated, I am glad you enjoyed the Portfolio - and even more so given that your preferences are for other kind of photography! :)

Beautiful!

PNW has some spectacular settings and you've done a good job with a consistent style of showing them. Lovely.
