I went to the Pecos River near Del Rio, Texas for part of spring break, so I packed all of my camera gear with fully charged batteries right before leaving because of the little 'no electricity' dilemma haha.
They died on the last day of the trip (Wednesday) as we were headed home.
The river was 20 feet below optimal water level, so much of the landscape that would usually be underwater was uncovered, which was a PERFECT photographic situation. Otherwise, the river would just be a lot of water with steep cliffs. The low water level gave the river more character in my opinion. If the water level were up then I would not have been able to canoe up the river to get photos 4 or 5.
The whole trip was awesome.
