Santino, both pictures could benefit from some designer cropping. Placing the subjects in the center makes for static photos. The first pic appears to be under exposed on my monitor--not enough detail in the pigeon. A little post manipulation would really make these pictures pop.

BTW, I liked both of them. Great DOF control

I've just reviewed your pics on another monitor and on this monitor, the first photo isn't underexposed.
