No, but I do have a small bean bag that can be set under the lens for support, don’t use it often

If the Pod uses velcro then do you have to put velcro strips on your camera? (I like the Pod idea but I would not want to put velcro on my camera).

Nope! It has a little screw bolt thing like all tripods! The velcro holds in beads.

I like the idea, but would want it twice the size. This doesn't look very stable. And does it have to have that flashy color? Gimme army green or airforce blue anytime!

I have one...and it's a big dust collector

Great to have around for a P&S. But an SLR is just too front heavy. It will balance my 30D with the 50mm...barely...but that's about it. Now, if you had something else to place under the lens, this would be good to keep you from having to set your camera on the ground...if that's a big deal?
