Not bad.

The shadow is bad though.

Why Rule of Thirds for a product shot?

Good question Bitter.. Not too sure really why I placed it in the rule of thirds here. I guess I never really do product pictures so I just placed it as I would try to place the subject in most other shots.. Do you think it would have been more effective to center the ring?

Doen't matter really.

I'd fix the shadow though. Did you add it in post? You have both a shadow and a reflection.

Nope, I didnt add it in post. I had a white shirt with a peice of glass on top of it. Flash off camera, shot through white unbrella (I can remember what angle I had it positioned, camera right forsure..), and a silver reflector camera left not too far from the subject.
I did try a few shots without the glass because I wanted to avoid the reflection but I wasn't overly happy with how they turned out.
Also I used the 70-200 F4 L for this.
