The problem(s) with this one

Even though this bird shot isn't terrible it isn't nearly as sharp as others I've seen posted here. I thought it was maybe because I was zoomed out to the max of 300mm or because I was at the max aperture of f/5.6 or both. But I just now found another reason. The shutter speed was 1/60sec. and that was hand held. I must have taken this one before I started using auto ISO with a minimum shutter speed of 1/200sec. for my bird shots. All things considered, zoomed out to max with the max aperture, slow shutter speed, hand held and an inexpensive $450 lens I guess I shouldn't expect much better.:mrgreen:
