The Raven and The Painted Desert

I was in the Painted Desert when I was followed by a raven. I managed to capture some photos of it that I think are quite striking. The experience was so profound for me that I ended up tattooing the raven (amongst other things) onto my back.

I think it is a very moody shot and I like that about it. The natural ray of sunlight is quite special and helps distinguish the bird from the background. Theonly problem I see though is the horizon is very crooked. A quick straightening would do it alot of good.

hmmm that never even occurred to me, thank you! I will toss that in photoshop and try that out. Too bad it's a scanned film photo and I don't have access to a darkroom anymore!
