The rings

My girlfriend photographed a friends wedding the other weekend, and she asked me to be her assistant. She put me in charge of getting some of the finer details, and the wedding rings was something she asked me to get pictures of while she was doing the big group photos. I could not come up with anything creative and then I found this flower pedal on the ground. I set them on the window to get natural lighting on them. I am happy with the way they turned out.

Which one do you like better? Do you like either of them? Any C&C welcome.

Thanks for your input. I am still torn between which I like better.

The front of the rings need more light, and I feel the DOF is either too shallow or they aren't sharp enough. That aside, nice work.

i agree.

* Slightly tighter composition on the rings.
* More DOF. They are static objects.. use a tripod, stop down the aperture, use longer shutter speeds. The groom's ring is OOF.

Personally, I like the B&W. just a tad tighter crop. better DOF, the weathered wood is a better offset to the new rings.
