Beautiful scenery and I like both shots, Mr. Berg. The first photo is more landscape orientation and the second is more focused on architecture and structure.

I much prefer the second picture, composition is way better.

Fred, I use NIK filters mostly. On yours just a small bump in saturation and structure in Viveza. The bridge or pier jutting out to the left is a good element in your composition.
