Managed to use a 1 second exposure to capture the firing of a Winchester Model 94 .44 caliber rifle.
Took me several "shots" to get it right as I wasn't using a trigger. More difficult than it would seem.
The neat side-effect was that I can see how much movement the shooter had from the recoil of the firearm.
Muzzle blasts are so fast it's hard to imagine the power and light that comes out of the barrel of a rifle until a photo like this captures it.
