The sound of silence

A snowshoe hike just after a late winter snow. The critters are still holed up in their snow covered burrows, safe from the wind that is slowing to a breeze. Nothing stirs, the only the sound of your breathing and the quite sound of the mesh on new snow.

Must be nice walking through fresh snow. Never lived in a place that had it.
