First one is a fine composition; but some clouds look over exposed and distract much; second is viewed at a classic angle....but here also the same patch of light takes its toll

Are both images HDR images? That certainly would explain the high contrast and brightness. 2nd editing goes a long ways, but image 1 still needs to be toned down a tad more.

I don't think they are overexposed, and I think your second edit is better, but I do think the blues are still oversaturated.

hmm not sure. i kinda do agree that its a bit saturated and unrealistic, here is a less saturated version, i think i like it better, probably more true to life...

How did you desaturated the photo?It might be my eyes or my phone, but it looks titled to the right every so slightly.

i just used lightroom to move the saturation bar down a little bit. it maybe slightly tilted i will check it again.

The sky is now more realistic. But now the building looks white washed and lost its original color???

You desaturated the entire image, rather than just the sky. Use the selection tool to select ONLY the sky, then desaturate. That way, you can keep the original color of the building. I would attempt to do it for you, but you do not allow people to edit your photos. However, it IS an extremely easy fix. Other than that...nice shot! Your re-edit of the clouds look better than the original.
