The Telephone, Texas Store and Cafe

The old store building is 98 yrs. old. I'm guessing that the small town aquired it's name by having the first telephone in the area. Teresa, the new owner, is the head cook and bottle warsher. Her mom, Sherry waits and busses the tables.

This place is awesome! A total photo op all by itself. I would agree the B&W lends itself so much better here, it adds to the feel of the place. The building shot is nice, but a little soft. I want to see all that peeling paint very crisply, if that makes sense. Can you try some more??

This girl is very beautiful. Both her B&W protraits are stunning. I especially like the one where she is looking directly at the camera. Wow!

There is definitely something very moving here to me; the age of the place, how hard this mother/daugther team is working in this tiny little place in the world. I'm smitten.

Thanks for the comment's folks. The reason for the softer image of the outside shot is that two different cameras were involved. I shot the outside with my old Nikon 950, which is subject to soft images. The inside shots were taken with a Canon A80...JCB

That was a first for me. I enjoy the back road and small town photography. I've made the backroads of about twenty-five or so counties in Texas. That leaves me with only 229 more to go.
