I wonder if anyone knows that film anymore. The air of mystery might be a little stronger if you reduced the size of the window and walls at the top just a bit. I think you need at least part of that wall directly above the door, but less of the window and the bright wall on the right. Just a thought - not sure how it would work ...

Joseph Cotten was in so many great movies, The magnificent Ambersons, Citizen Kane, Niagara, Gaslight, Portrait of Jenny, Duel in the Sun and Shadow of a Doubt. My favorite is of course, the Third Man - and I hoped to see some Vienna from Fred.
