Interesting Image, what did you take this on? the quality just doesn't look there to me.
I feel this image as slightly un-nerving with the lines going up the left hand side not being straight, it may be me being all OCD, or did you intend for the viewer to feel slightly disorient of being in a waiting room? expressing your feeling for it?.... Or... did i just read way into the image. Tell me about it ?

Olympus XA. It's weird - it always seems soft to me with B&W film, but color film looks fine...

The (vertical) lines on the left side not being straight, I honestly didn't notice till you mentioned it. The right side appears straight though, so perspective distortion, I guess. As far as OCD, the light fixture on the left side being crooked was bugging the **** out of me, lol!


This is why I hate saying what I was thinking when I took a photo - if I did, you would have dismissed all of those thoughts you had about it. What I said it was would be the only "right" answer.

haha, dude its all good, sometimes things are best unsaid and picked up when others look at your images, otherwise none of us would be here ehh? all looking for friendly critique, nice image though, the grain may be related to your ISO setting on your camera, if not, unusual! looking forward to seeing more of yours!

I have accepted that not everyone will understand what I was trying to do, and they will come to different conclusions than I did - and that's fine with me, in fact, I encourage it. I'm not talking about this photo specifically, just in general.

By saying what it means to me, I sometimes feel that will negate the feelings others may have that differ from my own. Does that make sense? It is what it is... If it can't stand on it's own, without explanation, then it failed - IMO.

Sounded just like eggleston he said something like I want to make a picture that could stand on its own, regardless of what it was a picture of. I’ve never been a bit interested in the fact that this was a picture of a blues musician or a street corner or something,
