The Western Veil Nebula! This image is a portion of a larger gaseous structure, which is a supernova remnant, known as the Cygnus Loop. Imaged last night from the back yard. The whispy tendrils of hydrogen and oxygen gas make for a very cool appearance. The portion in the upper right is also sometimes referred to as the Witch's Broom. This image can be challenging to edit because of a notoriously bright star in the Witch's Broom, known as 52 Cyg.
