the yellow church

been stuck at work and can't get out to the refuge. so here's one from one of my road trips west. taken in north dakota a few years ago, pretty sure it's been torn down since.

Man, that's such an awesome looking building. Great moody shot! If it wasn't for the yellow this would make an epic monochrome image.

thanks destin. yellow is such an odd color for a church that i wanted to keep it. but it is partly monochrome. since the sky wasn't blue i removed all of the blue/aqua color from the image and adjusted the white balance to a much cooler temperature to really isolate the yellow on the wood.

It's a wonderful looking church and full of history and character I bet. The conversion the sky suits the scene very well.
