They're back!

[pjaye]

I know the pictures are really crappy. I just don't have the reach I need for this nest. But this is my fourth year visiting this one and now they are just up the road from me. I was extremely happy to see her back. Still waiting for the male. I'm tracking 7 nests and three have birds on them already, which is a month earlier than last year.

Beautiful shot.

From what I remember you're shooting a pretty short lens so I would say this is a darn good shot considering what you have to work with.

Love the mask on the Osprey. Looks like a supervillain.

Thank you. Yes, my lens is the tamron 270. Not nearly long enough.

Nice!

Than you.

That stinks when it is lack of gear that holds you back. When I am rich (which I think should be any time now ) I will buy you a 600mm.
With all those nest around, you are going to have a great year ahead of you!
There is a red tailed Hawk nesting a mile from me, I need to go check it out.

I will remember that generous offer! lol
And yes, please go get pictures of that hawk and share them. I can never get a decent hawk shot.

Nice! I've recently started using the 300F4 again instead of the Tamron 150-600. What a difference in the type of photography......
Like Zombie, I really like the mask!

Cool! I like the way birds eyes look like they are in the wrong place when viewed from this angle.
