Thinking about renting a lens....... wide angle?

Rent first, see if you even like shooting that wide. I'm a distortion wh*re so I love it.

Reason I went Sigma 10-20 was that I bought it for almost 200+ dollars cheaper and got 1mm wider

So I've been checking out the Tokina 11-16mm and love what everyone has posted about it. I'm half tempted to just buy it..........

Buy a used one off of ebay, if you don't like it just resell it. Cheaper then renting.

+1 quality lens bought used at a good price and kept in good shape will always get your money back

I bought a nikon 85mm 1.8d off craigslist for $260, used it a month or so and sold it on ebay for $400

I have the Sigma 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 (D) EX DG, and I've rented the Tokina 11-16 on a couple of occassions. I really like them both. It might be wise to rent one for a few days. Personally, I would never purchase a lens without renting it first.
