This little guy don't like closeups

I went out to do some work around the pool and took my Olympus c-750 with me
thinking I would try and get some shots of the birds at the feeders.
This little guy was in the solar cover, I think it is a grass snake
even though the he has a darker color. I could be wrong on that. If
I am somebody please correct me.
He did not like the closeups however, he lunged at the camera
several times, but my timing was off as usual. The best I could do
was get him hissing at me.

That first pic is pretty good.

The snake was in a pissy mood because he is about to shed his skin. Snakes are usually quite aggressive during their pre-shed period.
