We arrived at this typical crappy bus station in a border town called Huay Xai in Laos.

So we wandered over to one of the small restaurants that exist on the fringes of these stations and sat down to have some lunch before a 4 hour bus ride.
This little girl was so sweet and charming and not too shy.

Eventually she wandered over to the station and saw this little German girl.

They eventually began playing together sort-of

and, about that time, we wandered over somewhere to sit down.
And then, wishing I had a much longer lens, I caught this.
