I've used the 50mm before, I liked it.

So I think I will go with the 24-70 or 24-120, then whats the next best zoom lens? Good glass?

The sigma 24-105 is reputedly better than the Nikon 24-120. As you already have 12-24 covered that's very flexible choice, throw a 50mm fast and you have a good set up I think
