This Photo Sucks

Well... that's how I feel. Something feels off about this photo... it was a gorgeous sunset, and I feel like I haven't done it justice.



Thoughts? Comments and critiques are greatly appreciated!!

I would have crossed the road...You did well with the sky but having a horizontal road as your foreground kinda takes away from it.

It is actually a 3 shot HDR... I could post all three RAW photo's if that would help.

I did this on my laptop real quick. I like the road in it. I also took the Yellow Saturation down all the way.

Yeah, it kinda sucks.

The best I can think of, to make it better, is to crop the sky and darken the road.
1/3 road, 1/3 dark forest, 1/3 sky.

Edited on my phone so take with a grain of salt. Cropped out road and made few minor tweaks in snapseed.

Maybe I could darken the middle but leave the road there? Hmmm. This is a tricky one.

I agree about the comment about cropping out the road and even the brown, dull grass. You had a fantastic sunset. Concentrate on that by going real close to the tree line and have that silhouetted against the sky.

Bit too much magenta in the original, but I think you nailed the exposure. I love darkshadow's edit, much better without the road. Nice photography, I disagree with you, I think you did do it justice. Sometimes, you just have to tweak a bit.
