As far as composition goes, I'd come in
from the left, tho there's nothing wrong with the way you've posted it. It depends on how its going to be printed and framed. I like the way moms hair flows out of the frame. New mothers always carry extra weight and don't need to look like runway models. Nice shot. When I worked in commercial video we would always have 3 or 4 babies in the "baby room" so we could keep to our shooting schedule. For a mom & kid shot, this is good.
