Thoughts on the Canon 550D

[PrimeDesignsHD]

Hey, my second thread :O, anyway, Im currently using a Sony A290 which has gone wrong and keeps flashing with camera error. Warranty has expired so Im looking to buy myself a better camera. I've been looking into the Canon 550D as I do Media for one of my A Levels which requires some filming to be done for our overall grade, and I do believe the Canon 550D records in HD.

If you have any thoughts on the camera or can refer me to a different camera to look at, please please comment below.

Thank you,
Charlie

I am currently using the 550D and I can attest that it's a fantastic camera. The 600D is out and that has a articulating screen, and since you're planning to do video, that may very well come in handy. Depends on how much dough you plan on shelling out.

Yeah, the price is always a down side, but great to hear that the 550D is a great camera. Ill look into the 600D but if it's too much of a jump in price, ill stick with the 550D

Thanks
