A first for me!... They were WAAAAAY back in the corner of the backyard! (About 40 yards) ....But I salvaged a few, albeit with heavy cropping!

Note, the little guy doesn't have the adult's bright yellow eyes ....

And both parents look identical...if anyone knows how to tell the difference between the sexes, please share!

They really blend in with the leaves, twigs and cinder blocks; don't think I've seen any in my yard yet.

And this year, they've not been real vocal either ....which is sad for us, because their song is in my Top 3 of the Bird World....

That's a nice set, especially the second to the last. I have a pair of mated Carolina Wrens that I'm having the same challenge id which is which because they look identical.

Jeff, I just checked my Merlin app....both the Brown Thrasher AND the Carolina Wren only show "adult" birds....if there's a male and female version of any species, they show both....so, let's just assume that there's no distinction between the sexes on these two!!
