Taken with Kodak Z712IS.
I like the theme and composition (as well as the title) alot. I think they're a touch overexposed, though.
We have plenty of cactus needles here in Arizona if you run out of steel ones ...
I will speed the exposure up next time.
i thing id like this subject in BW as well.
Four suggestion I can offer.
1- Your on-board flash is killing the scene. Try finding alternative lighting sources.
2 - Please dust off the vinyl.
3 - Consider a slower shutter speed to capture some sense of motion on the turntable.
4 - Consider backing off a bit, giving more context to the scene.
Nice try. I think you can do better with more practice.
Thanks all(especially kundalini) for the advice.
My camera is not very good for photography, it is just a pimped out easyshare with 12x zoom and 7MP, but plans are in the works for a decent DSLR.
I implemented all the advice, even dusting. So, here are the resulting images. I need to bring in my lights, because the camera shot too slow for the subject(see the shaky arm head).
