Rolls Royce Trent 800 turbine engine. For Boeing 777-200ER.
First pic is the "on" engine getting prepped.
2nd pic is general FYI blue line pointing to the go part (fuel nozzle). The silver line is the fuel line that feeds the fuel nozzles. Small but high pressure.
And 3rd pic is prepping to remove the current engine. Cowlings opened wide to get access for disconnections, and removals to be able to lower it.
An engine out of the shop (lots of run time remaining) is worth about $10m or more. Costs about $4 to 7m to send in for overhaul. Huge list of parts on it have time or cycle limits (take off / landing). When they come due, time for a change. But luckily there is lots of time or cycles between limits.
