Hello,

I was asked by a friend (architect) to make a time-lapse of the construction of his new building (during 9 months).
I never did a time-lapse before, so I would love to have some help and advices...
- which equipments should i use? just a camera? a camera plugged into a computer with a time lapse software?
- how do i solve the battery problem?

Think about it like "time lapse for dummies" and please explain me every single step, please!

You'll need to state a budget.

Some cameras can be powered by an external power accessory plugged into a wall socket. That would solve the battery issue.
Nikon's higher tier, entry-level DSLR cameras have a built-in interval timer.

Are you planning on having all the photos stored on a card?
How often are you going to take a photo?
Where will the camera be located?
Are you going to save the images to a network?

I run 3 camera for the exact same thing. We use Axis cameras for some and some of the more high end stuff we use Earthcam.
