This is what I learnt Sunday evening. :-) After the kite skiing series, here's one focusing on landscape without any human presence. The shapes of the snow on the ground, its blue color, this light, this strong wind... A breathtaking spectacle of nature in very low temperatures (14°F / -10°C). I'm so happy I decided (and managed) to confront the cold. I wish everybody to witness something like that in their lives.
First I thought I'd only use some fingerless gloves to be able to carry my camera more carefully but I couldn't stand the cold for two minutes. It was in pain that I looked for my other gloves. I was a little scared for my gear too. The blowing snow... some actually froze around the zoom ring. Walking back to the car I realized that I had had a blast photographing that sunset. I would sit in the snow, run to capture the moment, I wouldn't think about anything else but the moment, I wouldn't care about anyone around me (except my brother to whom I would say where to walk not to ruin those wonderful shapes in the snow). A real moment of happiness. And then I wished I could do that every day.

Where's my sweater, I feel cold!
Lovely, lovely.
1 and 10 I think are my favorites. Isn't it great when you get lost in a feeling like that!?

#3 and #10 are the winners for me. Gorgeous scenes. You have my respect and admiration for getting out there - I hate the cold and pretty much hibernate from Christmas until my winter getaway to anywhere warm. Next snow we get here I'll try to remember these for inspiration and just might step outside.

Thank you for taking the time to take a look at them and comment.

Indeed, it is. It is fantastic to realize afterwards that we were so focused on what we were doing and that nothing else mattered at that time. It really showed me how passionate I was that evening.

Thank you very much. I hope you do get to at least try. The landscape is really different when covered with snow and there's something really magical to it.

These are really nice. Like them all.

I particularly like the 'bent' light in #1 But I would take a print of #1,#3, or #10 anyday! ;)

2 and 10 are the winners for me!
These are wonderful. You've really captured the mood well!

Kudos to you for braving the weather! I went out this evening in -4 and ran back inside after 5 shots. :-( my toes are actually still numb.

Nice. #3 is the winner for me. I can just feel that cold wind coming at me.

Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it.
I'm so glad of that evening and that I got home with some really nice shots that I'm proud of. Hope I'll get another experience like that. It really feels like once in a year kind of shooting experience.

Yep, great images don't come easy. You certainly must have worked hard to get them. Great photos!

I like #3 the best , but overall it is a good set, nice work.

Thank you!
Seems like #3 is the winner according to people giving me feedback on this series.
