Today I bought...

...the remote for my d70s!!! It was about $18, and I'm really excited about using it for some night shots! Anyone have any other super-cool ideas about what else I can use this for?

If it is the cabled remote you can do some cool stuff with the bulb setting and the shutter lock it has and a flashlight. Find somewhere really really dark and stop down (you don't want to do a night-time exposure). Then with the shutter open start 'painting' your surroundings with a flashlight and experiment. You can also cover the flashlight with some clear colored plastic to get different color tones on the items you paint. I have been wanting to do this out in the backwoods with my spotlight and some big pine trees. But I have done this on a small scale in my room.. you get some fun effects.
