Hey Everyone,

These are the final pictures from my room renovation that i started about a month ago. Pictures of the actual renovation can be seen here:

So despite the fact that the post is entitled "top reasons why not to renovate your room/house" was it actually worth it? I'll let you decide for yourself, however for me it was definitely worth the time and money. I now have a room that is very livable in and is very contemporary!!

Starting with the windows. They were a lot of work but they turned out great!

The closet also turned out nicely. We put a new mirror on the door, painted the frame, and added this torch lamp for better lighting

Here is a good shot of the newly painted window and closet frame (you can also see a little bit of the new curtains)

The hardwood was in such good shape that we just needed to scrub them down and it came out like this!

It did not take long at all to fill up my closet as I removed one of my dressers from the room during the transition!

This was the best picture i could get of the new wall color. It is a light blue and it came out very nice (something to keep in mind when painting, always get a color lighter than what you actually want as it will darken after you paint)

Finally, this is the best overall shot of the room i could get with my lens (28-115). Once i get a new lens I'll try for a wider angle.

So thats it, everything turned out quite well. If you ever have questions about the work/time/energy/money/sanity you'll lose redoing a room just send me a PM!:D

sweet shots, still gotta learn those exposures though... but your learning, i gotta stop down and get some pictures of this one of these days

This is the first time I saw this post, had a look at the others from the links, well done, great job. I found it hard enough to paint the walls in my room, took about a week to do!
