Towaliga River Float

I took the kayak about 60 miles south of Atlanta to the Towaliga River. A quick wiki seach provided a little history about the river, including a translation of the name...

Towaliga, is of Creek origin and translates to "Roasted Scalp." The Creek Indians of the area were known to scalp their enemies and place their scalps on the large rocks by the river.
