Tragedy in the sky!

Just about a couple of hours ago two Phoenix News helicopters (channel 3-Independent and channel 15-ABC) covering a hot pursuit collided and were destroyed. Aboard each one of them there were a pilot and a photographer. All four were killed. My hear goes to their families and friends!

What makes it strange is the fact that they 'landed' in pieces in a park where I played a gig (about a month ago), for a local photographer's 11th wedding anniversary! It's just about 20-30 feet from the spot where I was playing.

Sad news indeed. I heard just the tail end of the news clip a few minutes ago, so didn't know until reading your post where this had occurred. Thoughts of Airic had crossed my mind when I heard photographers were on board. But he's not in Phoenix, thankfully.
