Tree Crop C&C and Advice

Happy New Year Everyone!
Ok, #1 is the original image. I did not like how I framed it in the viewfinder so I was wanting to crop it in a way that looked better, though not *drastically* different. What do you think and what would *you* have done differently with the crop. #2 is the crop. I cropped it a few different ways and this one looked best to me. Suggesting that should have taken the picture differently is a mute point, so I am asking for opinions referring to working with it in post. THANKS!

i like 2 better. both photos almost seem like a vertical panorama, it takes me a few seconds to really look at the whole photo and take it all in. pretty nice.

did you increase the saturation at all?

Thanks! No, the only editing I did was the crop and cloned out a tiny portion of a "green" tree in the lower right corner. Saturation is original.

I like following the trunk to the top so number 1 is my pick, its definitely 420 friendly and i wouldnt mind have that hanging on my wall.
