Maybe on the first, just the bricks and shadow of the first tree, however without the top of the tree cutoff. Possibly a slight move to the right (physically). And then again.......

Second one would benefit without the lightpost, and possibly closer in.

Thank you, I agree on the first, the top of the tree isn't in the original frame and that has bothered me.

Interesting comment on the second, as I first had it cropped to show only the four windows on the right, and no sky.

Nice b&w conversions. I like #1, but #2 has own charm.
