I normally shoot my brackets automatically, letting the camera decide how to expose each frame. Today was an adventurous type of day, we left the house to go to an art festival downtown and ended up at a historic state park. As with so many things in central Illinois, New Salem is centered around Abraham Lincoln and that era in history. While there I decided to try manually exposing a bracket just to see how well it worked out. So using the blinkies on my live view as a guide, I took 5 frames. Below is the resulting photograph after being put through photomatix. I resized in PS, no other post processing.
Note: I know the composition sucks, it is the process I am looking at here.
