Thanks Bill! Would have been a nice series but this was the only shot I nailed. I think it was just out a little to far for me at least to be freehanding without IS or any type of pod for how much I had to crop. Maybe some day I'll get a monopod and a grown-up lens

I just missed the other 7-8 shots of this guy with his fish.

Nice shot! cormorants may look easy to capture like a duck but while there in the water fishing for a meal it is difficult. They dive under for a long time and its anybody's guess where they pop up. You might guess they will surface in the generally area that you seen them and a few minutes later there on the other side of a lake,river or out to sea.They are amazing and very efficient fish hunters.
